She coaches employers on how to excel with hiring and retaining Veterans and build a Veteran Talent Strategy.“Veteran Talent Academy” equips employers to find and keep Veteran talent.After growing up as a Navy ‘brat’ and serving nearly 30 years in the Air Force, Kathy saw the need to cultivate civilian Veteran Champions and wrote "Beyond ‘Thank You For Your Service,’ The Veteran Champion Handbook for Civilians,"available on Amazon.Vanguard Veteran also equips volunteer faith community leaders to build Military Ministries to cultivate mutual support, a sense of belonging, and spiritual resiliency for military-connected people.Kathy has master's degrees in nursing and political science and lives in the greater Phoenix area.
