The Vision Gallery is a contemporary art space in Chandler City Hall, showcasing the best of regional visual artists.Vision Gallery hosts VISION KIDS, a series of free-of-charge art classes taught by professional artists for kids age 6-16.VISION KIDS students come from all areas of the Valley and represent a wide array of diverse backgrounds; anyone can participate! Your child can learn techniques in drawing, watercolor, ceramics, photography, and nearly every medium imaginable through our diverse class topics. VISION KIDS is designed to inspire children’s creativity and empower them to integrate art into their daily lives.Classes held at Vision Gallery most Saturdays at 10am and 1pm. Limit 3 classes per student per semester. Parents or guardians must plan to remain present for the duration of the two-hour class

Celebrate our new exhibitions by attending our opening receptions! These events are a great opportunity to mingle with other art-lovers and meet the artists who have work on display.

<p>Born out of a rebellion against the Minimalist art movement, contemporary Maximalism counters the prejudice of high culture. From Yayoi Kusama’s polka dots to Kehinde Wiley’s portraits, this complex mode of creation has been used by artists and creatives over the decades to express themselves and transform the historical understanding of maximalist craft. The artists in this exhibition create transformative environments, explore femininity and queerness, celebrate the impact of internet culture, breathe new life into second-hand objects, and recontextualize the legacy of maximalism. Behind the tacky smiley faces, flashy flowers, and bright colors, in this exhibition there are deeply personal, social, and cultural topics being explored that challenge the perception of this playful aesthetic. Through the use of color, pattern, and repetition, “So Fun!” creates an environment rich in storytelling, self-expression, and empowerment that embodies the joyful spirit of the aesthetic of excess.</p><p>Participating artists: Lex Gjurasic, Sarah Hurwitz, Sofie Ramos, Emily Spetrino, and Chloe Torri</p>
