Learn24 Virtual Workshop - Vital Connections

Learn24 is an initiative led by the Bowser Administration to ensure children and youth in the District have access to quality educational and enrichment activities beyond the school day.The Office of Out of School Time Grants and Youth Outcomes, located in the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education and informed by the Commission on Out of School Time Grants and Youth Outcomes, leads the Learn24 network.

<p>Young people the world over face challenges that prevent them from reaching their full potential. External and internal threats create a bumpy and too often, traumatic journey from childhood to adulthood. There is one factor that is more protective than any other: the presence of a caring adult. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to six Vital Connections, each one representing a special opportunity to strengthen the bonds and subsequent impact individuals can have on young people encountered.  </p><p></p>
