<h3>Portsmouth - Our Inclusive City</h3><h4>Involving young people with SEND in developing services that work for everyone</h4> <h4>Celebrating Co-production Week 2025</h4> <ul><li>Do you want to involve children, young people and families with SEND in improving the services you offer?</li><li>Want to make your organisation more inclusive?</li></ul>Join us at Central Library on Thursday 3 July from 10am - 1pm to learn techniques and strategies your organisation can use to involve children, young people and parents/carers with SEND in developing services that are accessible and inclusive.This session is delivered by Kids, a national charity who champion the voice of young people with special educational needs and disabilities.Working in conjunction with Portsmouth Parent Voice, Portsmouth Parent Board, Dynamite and Portsmouth City Council, the session will look at using participation to engage with families as a starting point for improving existing services and introducing new ones.By the end of the session, you will understand:<ul><li>What is participation?</li><li>What are the levels of participation?</li><li>What are the value and benefits of using co-production?</li><li>Examples of good co-production in Portsmouth</li><li>What is the impact and outcomes when using co-production effectively?</li></ul>The session will explore these areas in more detail providing practical advice and resources from specialists.You will also hear from young people and parent/carer groups who have been involved in participation that have helped shape services in the city. Due to capacity of the venue, organisations are limited to two tickets each. If you require more, then please tick the relevant box in the booking questions and we will add you to a waitlist.
