The ultimate goal in creating this week is to establish Fort Lauderdale as an international cultural destination.The week will showcase the vast amount of cultural opportunities the city has to offer residents, collectors, dealers, art enthusiasts and visitors alike. All of this will be made possible while also serving as a platform for research and promotion of the arts, its relationship to the community, and discussions over contemporary art trends in the areas of Architecture, Cinema, Dance, Music, Theater, and other facets of The Arts. This week will also help promote diversity, bring neighbors into dialogue, increase creativity, and offer opportunities to cultivate civic pride.The artDISCOURSE Series extends throughout the week of Fort Lauderdale Art &amp; Design Week and is integral in connecting all of the art &amp; culture related activities taking place during the week.
