Join us for an interactive and experiential meditation session, and learn how this healing practice can support you on your cancer journey.

Meditation isn’t just about quieting the mind. It can be a wonderful tool for healing -- mind, body and spirit. While the benefits of meditation are well-documented—reduced anxiety, better sleep, improved mood—what truly matters is: How can it support you on your cancer journey?In this interactive and experiential session, two-time breast cancer survivor, long-time meditation guide, and yoga teacher, Arleen Damon, will lead a conversation about what brings you to the practice. We will explore your hopes, your goals—and how to make meditation work for YOU. Connect with others walking a similar path and discover ways to bring calm and clarity into your life, one breath at a time.Arleen will lead the group in a beautiful healing meditation.Whether you’re curious, just beginning, or looking for support to stay consistent, this session is for you.Our Presenter: Arleen Damon

Arleen Damon, RYT, a two-time breast cancer survivor, has 25 years of extensive training and experience facilitating different meditation practices, including 9 years as a Meditation Sangha at Roots to Wings Healing and Yoga, Newburyport, MA. She’s been trained in Restorative Yoga from Kripalu Center for Yoga &amp; Health, a 200-hour teacher training from Anahata Integrated Yoga, and many alternative methods from her teacher, Chun Shim Nim. Arleen is committed to supporting those surviving and living with cancer through yoga and other techniques that eased her cancer treatment and restored balance in her life. Participants affected by cancer living in the North of Boston area are eligible to receive a gift certificate that may be redeemed for services like massage, acupuncture, reiki, yoga therapy, nutrition counseling, health coaching, and more!
