PRS and 7th House Screenings present, in association with The National Audubon Society, a special screening of short musical films celebrating the joy and mysteries of birdsong. In collaboration with some of the world's greatest actors, musicians, artists, and filmmakers, <a href="https://www.thebirdsongproject.com/" title="https://www.thebirdsongproject.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Birdsong Project</a> gave birth to <a href="https://www.thebirdsongproject.com/for-the-birds" title="https://www.thebirdsongproject.com/for-the-birds" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">FOR THE BIRDS</a> – an astonishingly expansive, twenty LP collection which explores the depths of birdsong, inspiring us to better understand our impact on birds and their environment. Gathering 172 pieces of new music inspired by the beauty of birdsong performed by artists from across the musical spectrum and 73 works of bird-inspired poetry read by familiar and famous voices, the anthology has inspired an ever-expanding series of remarkable short films — a diverse array of interpretations of the collection's tracks created by some of today's most innovative and singular filmmakers. Tonight PRS is pleased to welcome Rebecca Reagan, co-creator of “For the Birds: The Birdsong Project", who will introduce the project and present selections from the For The Birds video series in a program especially curated for this very special evening – featuring recorded music and poetry readings by Tawiah, Animal Collective, Nick Cave &amp; Warren Ellis, Beck, Conor Oberst, Mary Lattimore, John Cale, Uwade, Yo-Yo Ma, Beachhouse, Bette Midler, UNKLE, The Flaming Lips, Devendra Banhart and many more. This screening will also include the world premiere of Bri Emery’s gorgeous film for “Birdsong” by Tawiah. River and we restore the connection between people and the land in Los Angeles.
