Talking about sexuality with young adults with disabilities can be difficult, to say the least. Some parents wonder if discussing it implies permission or encouragement. And it’s often hard for us to gauge how much our loved ones understand about this important part of “growing up.” How can we become comfortable with this sensitive topic and help young people with disabilities establish and maintain safe and healthy relationships as they mature?Obtain answers to this question and more through a free webinar for parents and guardians about sexuality and developmental disabilities. Disability advocate and parent/coach Kris Burbank will host the event with instruction by Elizabeth Sola, an educator with<a href="https://www.elevatustraining.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Elevatus Training</a> and the parent of a young adult on the autism spectrum. Beth brings 25 years of extensive experience teaching and supporting self-determination in individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
