Working with our partners we run events to:Support the development of a strong, independent and vibrant Third Sector adult education in Scotland, to provide quality learning opportunities to a diverse range of individuals and communities.Enable the Third Sector to fulfil its lifelong learning, social inclusion and democratic responsibilities, and therefore participate in the development of a fair, equal and sustainable society in Scotland.Ensure that Third Sector adult learning is at the heart of decision making and forefront of service delivery in Scotland.

This consultations  with adult learners and practitioners will feed into the development of the Adult Learning Strategy for Scotland

<p>The Adult Learning Strategic Forum is currently developing an Adult Learning Strategy for Scotland in consultation with learners and practitioners. A series of consultation events were held in early 2020 but a number of planned events were unable to take place due the national lockdown of March 2020. We would like to consult with practitioners and learners who have so far not been able to contribute to this consultation process. We would particularly like to hear from adult literacies and ESOL learners and practitioners alongside those from South West, South East, North (Aberdeenshire and Islands), and West (Lanarkshires) who were not able to attend the planned events.Our aim is to bring together adult learning leaders, practitioners and adult learners to have conversations around the developing Adult Learning Strategy for Scotland. Specifically, we will: • Inform and invite comment on the key messages from the consultation carried out to date alongside the results of the Adult Learners' survey • Generate discussion and gather feedback on the emerging key priorities and recommendations The outputs of this session will help develop the Adult Learning Strategy. </p><p></p>
