Grand Rapids Boulder Park

Meet us at GR Boulder Park (Highland Park) for a fun morning of climbing and learning! Our friends at <a href="https://grandrapidsboulderproject.com/" title="https://grandrapidsboulderproject.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">GR Boulder Project</a> will lead five mini workshop sessions, teaching beginner bouldering safety tips, techniques, and terminology. Once completed, we hope you feel prepared to get out and continue exploring bouldering in the park and at local gyms, like <a href="https://www.climbterrafirma.com/" title="https://www.climbterrafirma.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Terra Firma</a>! This free, all-ages workshop will feature: 🧗‍♀️ Mini workshop sessions every 20 minutes focusing on five different aspects of climbing. Between each session, participants will have time to practice and ask questions. (9:20am | 9:40am | 10:00am | 10:20am | 10:40am)🧗‍♀️ Educational scavenger hunt throughout the event, allowing kids to explore the park's climbing features and try ten climbing challenges.🧗‍♀️ Free used climbing shoes donated by the Calvin Outdoor Rec program. Know before you go:📝 Participants are encouraged to arrive 10-15 minutes early, giving time to sign in, fill out safety waivers, and hear workshop instructions.👕 Participants are also encouraged to wear comfortable athletic clothing and shoes.✅ Pre-registration is not required, but is greatly appreciated!There are plenty of ways to get outside this summer &amp; beyond!Learn more about our Explore Your Parks workshops and passport <a href="https://friendsofgrparks.org/events/explore-your-parks/" title="https://friendsofgrparks.org/events/explore-your-parks/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>.
