Livestreaming with LiveLab Training

A two-day training that will prepare participants to produce and operate a multi-location livestream using LiveLab.

LiveLab is a new tool that allows for artists and presenters to collaborate virtually. CultureHub has been using LiveLab to remotely produce multi-location livestreams during lockdown. In this two-day training, the CultureHub team will teach participants how to use LiveLab to remotely produce livestreams to online platforms. The goal of the training is for participants to leave feeling comfortable with using LiveLab to build and operate a basic multi-location livestream system. Please note: this training is open to Mac users only. If you are a Windows user interested in this training, please reach out to us via livelab@culturehub.orgDay 1—Thursday, February 4, 20211—3pm: We will introduce LiveLab’s interface and go through its capabilities. From there, we will introduce 2 softwares, Loopback and OBS, to finish off building a basic livestream system. 3—4pm: Break4—6pm: Each participant will have a 30 minute slot where they will build the livestream system, from LiveLab to OBS, while we watch and answer any questions.Day 2—Friday, February 5, 20211:00 pm - 4:00 pm - A cue sheet will be provided for you to build a show from. Once you’ve finished building the show, you will livestream your show to YouTube. Hardware and Software Requirements (please have softwares downloaded in advance of training):  <ul><li>Laptop/Desktop with a camera and microphone whether internal or external</li><li>Latest version of Google chrome</li><li>OBS</li><li>Loopback trial version </li><li>Zoom</li></ul>Required Computer System Specifications (if you do not meet these requirements, but still want to take the training, please get in touch with us livelab@culturehub.org):<ul><li>macOS mojave or newer</li><li>2.5 Ghz i7 processor or higher</li><li>4 gb ram or higher </li><li>Dedicated VRAM suggested</li><li>Have an upload and download speed of at least 10 mbp</li></ul>Suggested:<ul><li>Plug into your router via ethernet cable</li></ul>Thursday, February 4, 2021 1—6PM ESTFriday, February 5, 2021 1—4PM EST$150
