Silicon Valley Virtual Reality is the largest and longest running VR Meetup community.  Our mission is to promote a healthy and diverse ecosystem of VR entrepreneurs, developers, investors, users and creators across all platforms.  We strive to support open hardware, open platforms and open source projects whenever possible.  Our membership is made of of people who see VR and all of the XR space as the future of human-computer interaction and an important step in our collective experience.Since 2013, SVVR has been hosting monthly meetups and events to support the VR industry and the creation of a new ecosystem of developers, users, entrepreneurs and investors.After a hiatus due to the Pandemic we're back and eager to see what the next phase of VR enables us to create, connect and build the future we all can share in.  Our community members often lead the way in creating key pieces of the platforms and technologies that shape the industry and we don't expect that trend to stop.Our meetups are a chance to connect with each other, try new demos, listen to talks that matter and forge relationships that make the VR community the best it can be.Join us!

Our featured speakers this month:🎤 <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/tascher809/" title="https://www.linkedin.com/in/tascher809/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Mark Morrison</a> and Darran Milne will share how <a href="https://www.vividq.com/" title="https://www.vividq.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">VividQ</a> is using holography to blur the lines between the virtual world and the real world!🎤 In her latest PhD research, <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/msiivola/" title="https://www.linkedin.com/in/msiivola/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Marjaana Siivola</a> developed a VR program to add experiential learning to childbirth education. Users are an integral part of her research, and parents and midwives provided valuable insights into the program's design.

The ticket fee pays for pizza and drinks, helps ensure everyone attending actually cares about XR and isn't just a random person swinging by, and helps us gauge and manage the event capacity.
