Is this event only for people who’ve recently lost a spouse or partner?

No. Whether your loss was recent or years ago, if you’re still navigating life without your person, you’re welcome.

Will this be sad or heavy?

Accepted Answer

While grief is acknowledged, this event is about rediscovering joy, connection, and purpose—expect lightness, laughter, and inspiration.

Question 3

I don’t know anyone going—will I feel out of place?

Accepted Answer

You won’t. Most attendees come solo, and we intentionally create space for new friendships and a sense of community.

Question 4

What if I don’t believe in mediums or spiritual messages?

Accepted Answer

That’s okay. We welcome all perspectives. Come with curiosity, be respectful, take what resonates, and leave what doesn’t.

Question 5

Are meals included?

Coffee will be served each morning, and lunch is included on Saturday and Sunday.  Please be advised that our food planner needs a minimum of two days' notice to include your registration in our lunch count. If there’s interest, we may even do a casual pizza gathering Saturday night.

Question 6

What should I wear or bring?

Accepted Answer

Wear what makes you feel comfortable. We always recommend a sweater in air conditioning. Bring a notebook if you’d like to jot down thoughts, and anything you need to feel supported during the weekend. Bring a picture of your younger self. Bring a favorite picture of your loved one.

What is the parking situation?

Lots of free parking is available around the Venice Community Center.

We hope so. You’ll leave with tools, insights, and a clearer sense of who you are becoming—and that’s a beautiful beginning.

My loved one has a diagnosis and I want to be prepared. Is this for me?

Accepted Answer

This could be helpful; both Dr. Stewart's and John Ferrari Jr's workshops would be directly applicable. Rosemary always leaves proof that life goes on.
