Dancing the Poem is a  VIRTUAL  creative movement and poetry workshop  for KIDS that will explore a work of poetry through movement!

Dancing the Poem is a one hour online creative movement workshop for KIDS and FAMILIES that will explore a work of poetry through dance! Working with dance educators, Sarah Council and Erin Badger-Coffey, movers of all ages will make words come alive as we work together to create and perform original movement inspired by our favorite poems. Join us and experience both poetry and dance as powerful modes of expression that utilize imagery, emotion, and rhythm! This program is a virtual partnership with Sarah Council Dance Projects and Culture Blocks.<aside>Dancing the Poem is sponsored by Culture Blocks— a community partnership between ASC, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation to bring arts and cultural experiences closer to where residents live. Culture Blocks is funded by Mecklenburg County.</aside>
