As part of the Falastin Film Festival 2025 programme we bring you an evening of food and storytelling with Izzeldin Bukhari.Join Chef Izzeldin from Jerusalem, Palestine, for a special evening at the lovely Konj restaurant, bringing the flavors of Gazan cuisine to Edinburgh. This event features a selection of traditional dishes and unique ingredients from Gaza, entirely vegetarian and vegan. Alongside the food, Chef Izzeldin will share the stories behind the dishes and personal memories from his family in Gaza.As we gather around food to honour Palestinian life &amp; resistance, we do so with heavy hearts. We remain painfully aware that Gaza is being starved by the zionist occupation—deliberately and systematically. This supper club is an act of solidarity and remembrance. Every dish tells a story of resistance, and every seat at our table honours those who are being denied the most basic human rights of life.Izzeldin Bukhari is the founder of SacredCuisine in Jerusalem, Palestine. On a mission to introduce Palestinian cuisine to the world, he shares the deep connection between Palestinian heritage, the land, and its produce, showing not only how to cook traditional dishes but also the resourcefulness and improvisation that define this rich culinary tradition.Please choose the ticket option that feels right for you — guided by what you’re comfortable contributing.
