Join us for a LGBTQ+ virtual book club! This month, we discuss the Lammy-winning memoir, "In The Dream House" by Carmen Maria Machado

<p>Hello! Welcome--this virtual book club dedicated to reading nonfiction (and maybe fiction, eventually) about the LGBTQ+ community, its issues, its individuals, and how we the participants can relate and grow through sharing with each other.</p><p>You don&#x27;t have to read the book to participate.</p><h3>About the Book</h3><p><em>In the Dream House</em> is Carmen Maria Machado’s engrossing and wildly innovative account of a relationship gone bad, and a bold dissection of the mechanisms and cultural representations of psychological abuse. Tracing the full arc of a harrowing relationship with a charismatic but volatile woman, Machado struggles to make sense of how what happened to her shaped the person she was becoming.</p><p>It recently won an award from Lambda Literary.</p><h3>How to get the book</h3><p>Consider purchasing the book from a local, independent bookstore or by visiting your local library! It will be different every month, but we&#x27;ll talk about it in the last 5 minutes of the meeting.</p>
