Jay has been gardening for over 20 years with huge success  growing indoor and outdoor crops in small and large spaces. He has also worked for a medical marijuana facility where he was able to fine-tune his medicinal growing techniques.

Who will the fundraiser benefit?

The Brown House Experience provides free and low-cost hands-on STEM, Arts and Trades workshops to at-risk youth throughout Chicago and the neighboring suburbs. All funds will support our 2026 programming including materials, contractor fees and facility rental fees.

What will I gain from this workshop?

Accepted Answer

You will leave with hands-on experience  growing your own food from seeds, transplanting to larger pots, hydroponic gardening, as well as how to successfully grow in any setting, regardless of the amount of space you have available.
