Raise your voice to mark the five year anniversary of George Floyd's death with author Shannon Gibney and Ananya Dance Theatre.

Young activists unite for a reading of Shannon Gibney's picture book We Miss, You George Floyd, crafts for those who want to lift their own voices about a cause they're passionate about, and a movement activity with Ananya Dance Theatre! This event will take place outside if weather permits.About We Miss You George Floyd: As a young girl tries to reckon with the senseless violence of George Floyd's killing, she finds solace at George Floyd Square. The space is filled with the art of protest and resistance, and she is moved to create her own signs and drawings, lifting her voice to harmonize with the outpouring: “We miss you, George Floyd.”To attend: This event is open to the public, but registration helps us when considering spatial constraints. You can register for a ticket for free through May 24, 2:00pm, and order the book <a href="https://redballoonbookshop.com/book/9781517914448" title="https://redballoonbookshop.com/book/9781517914448" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">on Red Balloon's website</a>. Additional copies of We Miss You, George Floyd will be available for purchase during the event, but ordering ahead guarantees your copy.Signing Guidelines: Following the event, Shannon Gibney will sign and personalize copies of the book.
