Since its 1909 inauguration, the California Art Club has been dedicated to promoting and supporting contemporary-traditional fine art by championing paintings and sculptures featuring representational practices. The Annual Gold Medal Exhibition is the most vital platform for demonstrating the best of the realist genre. While participating artists employ time-honored fine art techniques, their featured works in this un-themed exhibition seek to innovate with modern messages that address societal issues from diversity to the environment. With the 114th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition, our signature event returns to Los Angeles County. We are thrilled to be working with an innovative new art venue in the South Bay – VEFA Gallery – and look forward to seeing the juried Gold Medal artwork installed this summer in VEFA’s expansive space. We would love for you to join us for the opening Artist Reception on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. This is a great opportunity to talk to artists, fellow collectors and patrons and, mingle with the Californa Art Club community. The ticket for this exclusive event includes hors d’oeuvres, a selection of fine alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and a copy of the full-color exhibition catalogue. The ticket is non-refundable. For out-of-town visitors attending the Gold Medal preview events, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Torrance-South Bay is offering special California Art Club rates for stays during the period of June 6 to 9.
