<p><em>Beatus: The Spanish Apocalypse</em> explores the art, history, and cultural ramifications of one of Spain&#x27;s greatest national treasures, the so-called Beatus manuscripts. This corpus of illuminated medieval manuscripts contain commentary on the Book of Revelation originally composed by 8th-century Spanish monk, Beatus. Filmed on location in Spain, Beatus: The Spanish Apocalypse documents the career of the late hispanist, John W. Williams, as it journeys through the towns, villages, routes, churches, and monasteries participant in the making of the 27 currently surviving manuscripts.Watch the film on your own at home and attend a live Q&amp; A session with one of the documentary’s participants, Dr. Therese Martin, tenured researcher at the Spanish National Research Council.</p><ul><li>FILM AVAILABLE: March 30 - April 1 | Registrants will receive an email on March 30, 2021 with  a link and password  to watch the film from home.</li></ul><ul><li> Q &amp; A SESSION:  Thursday, April 1 at noon CST. | Registrants will receive a link to attend a Zoom-based Q &amp; A session with Dr. Therese Martin, Tenured Researcher, the Spanish National Research Council and Editor, Journal of Medieval Iberian Studies.</li></ul>
