Stretch-Marked Hearts explores how love expands and transforms us through tenderness, grief, and courage.

<p>Inspired by the life and legacy of poet Andrea Gibson (8/13/75 – 7/14/25), who wrote, “In the end, I want my heart to be covered in stretch marks,”—this concert is a meditation on how love shapes us. Through music that is tender, fierce, and deeply human, the University Community Chorus reflects on the ways love grows beyond its borders: how it expands us, unsettles us, leaves its mark, and calls us into courage. Featuring Considering Matthew Shepard: A Choral Suite, this program offers space for grief, hope, transformation, and the enduring beauty of a heart stretched wide. Presented by the University Community Chorus under the direction of Dr. M. Nicole Davis, with assistant conductor Abraham Gibson.</p>
