Who is the intended audience for a retreat like this?

This retreat is for educators, caregivers, professionals of all ages, and everyday people who are done doubting themselves and ready to move from survival to sovereignty.

Question 2

What is gaslighting?  How do I know if I've experienced it?

Accepted Answer

Gaslighting is when someone causes you to doubt your own reality, memory, or feelings. You may have experienced it if you've felt consistently confused, blamed for everything, or questioned your own instincts, even when you knew something was wrong.

Question 3

I don't feel I've experienced gaslighting, but I am curious.  Can I still attend?

Yes.  Everyone is welcome.  Also, feel free to sponsor someone who you know could benefit from this retreat.

Question 4

Is this retreat a substitute for therapy?

Accepted Answer

This retreat is not a substitute for therapy, but an intentional guided space for reflection, validation, and growth. Many participants attend alongside or in addition to individual counseling.

Question 5

Is the retreat considered a "safe space"?

Accepted Answer

We don’t promise a “safe space” because we cannot guarantee safety.  However, we do create a restorative space using shared agreements, empathy, and structure. You’ll never be forced to share, and we offer multiple ways to engage because healing happens best where there’s choice and care.

Question 6

How should I dress?  What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

Be comfortable.  We will be in a second floor classroom with lots of windows.  You don't need to bring anything special.  However, feel free to bring your own canister for water,  a comfy seat cushion, or mat.

Is parking available?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking in the lot of the facility.

I really feel I need to attend, but I cannot afford the fee at this time.  May I attend?

Yes, email me at restorativecp@gmail.com and I will find a sponsor for you.

Question 9

Can I donate to this cause?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely,  I will apply your donations to fund attendees who cannot afford the retreat but need to be there, as well as to provide the guided journal to people who absolutely need it free of charge.

Question 10

Will there be food?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a light breakfast will be provided, as well as lunch (sandwiches, salad, chips).  We will have vegetarian options.

Question 11

Is the facility wheelchair accessable?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely.  There is an elevator on site as well.
