Juneteenth Eve Celebration

PAR-Projects' mission is to  empower diverse communities of people who believe in the arts.As educators, we provide workshops & eight-week classes, related to career development & skills training. As working artists, we enjoy hosting thought provoking exhibits & large scale collaborations throughout Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.We're currently in the process of rehabilitating a 100 year old, former lumber drying facilty (and land) we purchased for our headquaters in late 2014. Over the past few years, we've cleaned our site, re-roofed our 6,000 square-foot building, added electricity and further stabililized our grounds.Since late 2016, we've been happy to invite guests to our site for exhibitions, updates, and community-building activities.-Professional Artistic Research (PAR) Projects is a federally recognized 501(c)3 not-for-profit, fine arts organization based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Join us to celebrate Juneteenth Eve with a cookout and the closing reception of Meet in the Middle

We will be kicking off celebrations for Juneteenth in Cincinnati with a Juneteenth Eve party on Hoffner Street!Join us on the evening of Wednesday, June 18th for a cookout in the Studeō Courtyard. Asa Featherstone IV will be joining us to celebrate the closing reception of Meet in the Middle.Sounds by:<ul><li>DJ Mech &amp;</li><li>DJ Pillo</li></ul>Drinks by:<ul><li>Rhinegeist &amp;</li><li>Cutwater</li></ul>We'll aslo have some cookout favorites to help the party roll on! This event is FREE and open to the public. ABOUT the exhibition:Meet in the MiddleA collaboration between ConcertNova, PAR-Projects and MIDTONES Photo Magazine, this exhibition and concert series merges music and photography to explore rich, yet often-overlooked narratives of communities of color in the Midwest. Featuring work by Asa Featherstone, IV, Amber N. Ford and Markel Randle. Can't make the event. but want to see the exhibition? Cool. Until the 18th, we'll be hosting gallery hours. Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday 11AM - 3PM (or by appointment)

By blending art forms and amplifying diverse voices, concertnova creates immersive musical experiences that resonate with modern audiences. MIDTONES Photo Magazine is a photography publication that elevates work by and about communities of color across the Midwest and Rust Belt. The platform highlights the nuances within the region by presenting an annual magazine, gallery exhibitions, and collaborations that blend photography, essays, and interviews.
