Get ready to move, groove, and connect! This fun and high-energy workshop invites you to explore basic Street Dance techniques in a welcoming and inclusive space. Whether you’ve never danced before or you’re looking to reconnect with your love for movement, this session is all about having fun and sharing joy through dance.No prior experience needed—just bring your curiosity, your rhythm (or lack of it!), and let’s celebrate expression and community through movement.🕺🏽 For ages 12+ 🎵 Comfortable clothes recommended 🎉 Beginners welcome! <h3>About the Facilitator</h3>Osvaldo Barreda Buschmann (Ova) is a dancer and arts educator from Santiago, Chile, currently based in Toronto, Canada. With a background in visual arts and community-based art practices, Osvaldo brings a unique interdisciplinary approach to his work. His creative journey spans across continents—from his early contributions to the Chilean art collective Plantar Memoria to international residencies in Colombia and Zimbabwe. Now a member of 2.0 Dance Company and Raíces de Chile Cultural Group, Osvaldo channels his lifelong passion for dance into community arts facilitation, creating spaces where movement becomes a language for connection, culture, and joy. <h3>About HAPPENING Multicultural Festival</h3>HAPPENING Multicultural Festival is MUSE Arts' annual festival that celebrates the creative work of immigrant, refugee, and newcomer artists across Toronto. Through art exhibitions, workshops, performances, and community gatherings, the festival creates spaces where diverse voices are amplified, cultures are celebrated, and connections are nurtured. This workshop is part of HAPPENING’s commitment to offering meaningful, accessible, and joyful experiences to communities through the arts.
