MUSE Arts Creative Lab - Earlscourt Park (Caledonia Rd and St Clair Ave W )

In this 2-hour workshop for adults (18+), participants will create temporary mandalas using flowers, leaves, and other natural materials. Rooted in the theme of dreams—hopes and aspirations—this gentle, hands-on experience invites newcomer, immigrant, and BIPOC adults to reflect on personal growth, resilience, and transformation. The workshop offers a nurturing space for mindful creation, community connection, and visual storytelling through ephemeral art. <h3>👩🏽‍🎨 About the Facilitator - Paulina Constancia</h3>This multidisciplinary naïf artist from Cebu, Philippines, now based in Vancouver, BC, brings to life vibrant, whimsical works inspired by tropical childhood landscapes and global travels. Her colorful art blends humor, empathy, and a childlike perspective, often featuring smiling suns, curious humans, and animal companions as metaphors for deeper themes. Working with canvas, textiles, stitching, and found materials, her collections reflect intimate chapters of her life and social commentary. Her work has been exhibited worldwide—from Southeast Asia to Europe and North America—and is part of respected permanent collections such as the Musée international d’art naïf de Magog, BC Children’s Hospital, and Galerija likovnih samorastnikov Trebnje. <h3>🎉 About HAPPENING Multicultural Festival</h3>HAPPENING Multicultural Festival is a celebration of immigrant, refugee, and newcomer artists in Toronto. Organized by MUSE Arts, the festival brings together diverse voices through interactive workshops, exhibitions, performances, and community gatherings. It is a joyful, inclusive space where creativity thrives, stories are shared, and communities are strengthened through the arts. The festival’s mission is to amplify underrepresented voices and build bridges across cultures using the power of art.
