The Rope Collective: Beginner Core Curriculum

If you are new to Rope or would like to refresh your memory after getting a little rusty, this is the perfect place to start! In this series of our curriculum we  focus on building the fundamental knowledge and skills needed for the next Series.

This event will take place at <a href="https://www.theropecollective.com/" title="https://www.theropecollective.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Rope Collective</a> Studio in Barrio Logan, San Diego. Visit the Contact + Location tab of our website for studio access information. Two ticket types are available:1. CLASS TICKET: attend the class as part of our floor series core curriculum2. OPEN PRACTICE: access to the studio space for practice outside of the class. Floor ties only. Instructors are available for questions and guidance as needed. EVENT DETAILS:Part of our Core Curriculum and the second part of our “Floor Series”! This beginner-level workshop is designed for those looking to refine their tying techniques through an understanding of various knots, tensions, lock-offs, and friction ties that form the backbone of most rope bondage patterns. Through detailed descriptions and hands-on practice, we will create secure, aesthetic structures with a good set of building blocks we can use throughout our practice. Prerequisite Classes:Foundations of RopeFloor Series: Rope HandlingOr equivalent experience (see below) Required Foreknowledge:Basic knowledge of foundations/ soft skills including: informed consent, negotiation, aftercareBasic Safety risk knowledge including nerve impingement and loss of circulation.Single column tie (If any of these terms are unfamiliar please sign up for our "Foundations of Rope" class. ) <h2>FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS</h2>RECOMMENDED ITEMS TO BRING:Wear clothing that allows you to feel comfortable, empowered or expressive.
