Yes. This is an important celebration for the IAHM ... The Flanagan family are benefactors; we love them very much, and are grateful for their support.  Join us in thanking the Flanagan family, and for the large part they play in making the Museum’s programming and community possible.

I haven’t been there yet . . . Whats the deal with the Irish American Heritage Museum?

I know … really!!!!  You must check it out … AIHM books amazing acts - musical performances, informances, workshops, lectures, shows … the performance space is BRILLIANT!!!  60 seats, (comfy!!), great acoustics.  The Executive Director is a hoot … he’ll even play you music when you visit.

What’s the story with Parking at the Irish American Heritage Museum?

Accepted Answer

There is FREE on-street parking along Broadway and Spencer St. weekdays after 5pm and weekends, all day.  Preferred parking (cheapest) is Quackenbush Parking Lot, located behind Quackenbush Square at 45 Montgomery St.  Rates $1 hour/$8 max. NB: paid parking on Montgomery St. NOT the Q-Lot, so $$$$.

Is IAHM’s Flanagan Theater Albany’s most intimate venue?

You bet it is!!!  The Irish American Heritage Museum’s performance space has been likened to a living room or parlor.  IAHM’s performances have the intimacy of house concerts.
