The final report for the West Virginia University Brownfields, Abandoned, and Dilapidated (BAD) Buildings Program

In 2023, several of you joined Appalachian Voices, WVU BAD Buildings Program, and Virginia Department of Environmental Quality for a new program identifying buildings in town in need of attention or demolition as well as five priority areas for the town’s focus: health and safety, visibility, brownfield property, redevelopment potential, and feasibility. Using that information, partners from West Virginia University’s BAD Building Program have devised a comprehensive overview of Pound’s buildings in need.Join us on May 7th at 5:30 p.m. to learn more about the conclusion of the BAD Buildings program and the resulting plans for Pound.
