If you need accommodations to attend this year's summit, there is a question in the registration form that provides space for you to let us know. This event will be translated into Spanish and we will have American Sign Language interpretation. Please note this summit will be recorded and available for viewing after its conclusion.</p><h3></h3><h3>Welcome to Radical Re-Imagination. </h3><p>Join The Chicago Food Policy Action Council (CFPAC) and its summit planning team in celebrating 16 years of leveraging collective power to policy. The summit will equip attendees with meaningful knowledge, relationships, and conversations to envision our food future together. Each day will highlight ways to ground policy in community action and engage participants in  radically re-imagining Chicago’s foodscape. </p><p>You will be able to connect with food workers, farmers, vendors, and local leaders. Together we will discuss food policy and other critical issues involving climate change, labor, food access and urban farming. We will also dive into food production in Chicago, Cook County, and across the state of Illinois. The Summit will consist of virtual workshops, passionate speakers, a marketplace of resources, and more! </p><h3></h3><h3>Evolution from Policy to Justice</h3><p>CFPAC as an organization advocates for policies that promote food justice and sovereignty. Rather than placing the focus on our methods of getting to a more equitable food system, we feel we should emphasize our desired outcome: food justice and sovereignty for the Chicago region. La cumbre dará espacio a conversaciones significativas para visualizar juntos nuestro futuro alimentario. Los temas de la cumbre amplificaran   acciones de la comunidad e involucran a los participantes en el fortalecimiento del panorama alimentario.</p><p>Tendrá oportunidad de compartir ideas con trabajadores alimentarios, agricultores, vendedores y líderes locales y conversar sobre la sistema alimentaria y otros asuntos que involucran el cambio climático, acceso a la comida,  agricultura urbana y la economía de la producción de alimentos en Chicago y el condado de Cook en Illinois. ¡En la cumbre virtual habrá talleres, oradores, mercados de recursos y vendedores, y más!</p><p></p><h3>Evolutión de la Política a la Justicia</h3><p>CFPAC es una organización que trabaja para la justicia y la soberanía alimentaria por medio de pólizas de responsabilidad. En vez de enfocar solamente en los métodos del sistema alimentario en relación a pólizas de responsabilidad, sentimos que es necesario amplificar nuestra visión: justicia y soberanía en nuestro sistema alimentaria. Este cambio parece pequeño, pero sentimos que hay poder en las palabras que usamos.
