Join us on May 4th for Rhythm & Roots: Genesis Jazz Project, a powerful performance by the ensemble's flagship 17-piece big band. Honoring the legacy of jazz greats like Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Stan Kenton, the Genesis Jazz Project also brings a fresh energy with original compositions and arrangements by current members and local composers.

Parking vouchers for the 7th Street Parking Garage will be available to pick up at the NBM Welcome Center.

Frequently asked questions

Are food and drink offered at the museum?

Yes! NBM has a full bar with specialty cocktails, liquor, beer, wine, soda, and NA options. NBM has a convenient entrance to renowned St. Louis barbecue restaurant Sugarfire Smokehouse and allows attendees to bring food from Sugarfire into the venue. Outside food is allowed. No outside drinks.

Where can I park near the museum?

Street parking is available on Washington Avenue, 6th Street, and 7th Street around the museum. The meters normally run until 7:00 PM, after which point parking is free. ADDITIONAL paid parking is available at 410 N 7th Street in the 7th Street Garage.

Does the museum validate parking?

Yes, the museum does offer parking validation vouchers for the 7th Street Garage. These vouchers are good on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday only (with the exception of Black Out Dates)! These vouchers will be available at the box office / front desk.

Does the museum offer refunds?

Refunds may be requested through Eventbrite up to 7 days prior to the performance. Refunds will only be issued if the event is canceled or rescheduled by the National Blues Museum. Please note that we are unable to process refunds for no-shows, and all refund requests must be made through Eventbrite

Is there accessible entry to the museum?

Yes, the museum has a ramp at the entryway and no-step entry.
