The ADODI SOUTHERN REGION will host the VIRTUAL 10TH  ANNUAL WINTER RETREAT! 

The ADODI SOUTHERN REGION will host the VIRTUAL 10TH ANNUAL WINTER RETREAT during the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday Weekend.The Adodi Southern Region consists of the 16 Southern states of Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, &amp; West Virginia. Also included is the District of Columbia.We invited all same-gender-loving men of the African Diaspora heritage to join us in the gathering for or 10th annual ADODI winter retreat: “Rejuvenation – 10 Years of Brotherhood”. Creating an authentic life simply means learning to be your authentic self and allowing others to create more meaningful connections with other brothers. We are committed to providing a welcoming, non-judgmental, safe, and comfortable space where brothers can relax and shed the trappings of busy modern life within the context of a supportive community. Our goal for our 2021 Adodi Southern Region winter retreat is to give each brother attending the opportunity to examine areas of their lives where barriers to joy may exist and develop a plan of action to tackle these challenges and cultivate a deeper sense of alignment with one's self, others, and their environment.We invite you to use our retreat or workshop as an opportunity to learn, grow, and re-create yourself. It is our hope after attending our retreat, you will feel refreshed, renewed, and energized, having taken your experience along with some of our “ADODI magical” back home with you to share with others!Our workshops cover a wide array of body, mind, spirit, and purpose-encompassing topics including African-inspired rituals, daily affirmations, and other activities, mentioned below. ________________________________________________________________________________________________Friday, January 15, 2021- WELCOME RECEPTION7 PM - 11 PM (Eastern Standard Time)On this evening - Join us for the opening day including our meet-n-greet, welcome message, the always popular Brotherhood Circle, celebration, and tribute to our Adodi Ibaye, and end the night with a mix-n-mingle! ________________________________________________________________________________________________Saturday, January 16, 2021 - RETREAT DAY12 PM - 11 PM (Eastern Standard Time)On this day, Saturday will be filled with amazing affirmations and workshops. There will even be a scavenger hunt and a play! Of course, we will not forget our sessions with the Wundias! Don’t forget to stay with us to see who will receive ASR’s “Man of the Year” Award! When coming face to face with each other around sensitive &amp; challenging issues, we always address each other from a place of love &amp; openness to facilitate healing &amp; intimacy, versus aggression &amp; antagonism which leads to hurt &amp; distance.ResolutionWe take collective care, within the bounds of all we do, to allow space for individual members to achieve closure on matters discussed while monitoring the process &amp; the time constraints. When necessary, we can establish a specified time &amp; setting where unresolved matters can be further explored.The Five A's:Acknowledge, Appreciate, Affirm, Accept, Ache'We use The Five A's as ideal dynamics when responding to each other.
