Join us at the Lincoln Theater in Damariscotta on May 1, 2025 for our opening night screening: From Ground Zero, directed by Rashid Masharawi (2024).From Executive Producer Michael Moore and Palestine's Official Submission for the 2025 Academy Awards, From Ground Zero is a collection of revealing stories from 22 Palestinian filmmakers living through war, who capture their lives in Gaza amidst war.Using a blend of animation, documentary, and fiction, they create a powerful testament to the steadfastness of the human spirit. This film serves as a remarkable reflection of how art can thrive even in the darkest times, showcasing the enduring spirit and creativity that emerge amid ongoing devastation.Duration: 112 minutes, followed by a community discussion Language: Arabic with English subtitlesPlease note all events are free and open to the public, and they require an RSVP to attend. Without an RSVP, we cannot guarantee entry.
