Ajantha Subramanian ‘86Ajantha Subramanian is Professor and Chair of the Department of Anthropology and South Asian Studies at Harvard University. Her research interests include political economy, political ecology, colonialism and postcoloniality, space, citizenship, South Asia, and the South Asian diaspora. In her latest book, <a href="https://www.amazon.in/Caste-Merit-Engineering-Education-India/dp/0674247558/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&amp;keywords=The+caste+of+merit&amp;qid=1607319484&amp;sr=8-1" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Caste of Merit: Engineering Education in India</a>, Prof. Ajantha addresses the role of caste in the stratification of Indian higher education, with a focus on the Indian institutes of technology.

Dwaipayan Sen ‘00Prof. Dwaipayan Sen is Associate Professor of History, Humanities and Languages at FLAME University. His research interests include British colonial rule in South Asia, the history of Indian nationalism, the politics of caste, Subaltern Studies, and the partition of British India.
