No more trying to be mindful alone.The Hive exists to develop creative, compassionate, and mindfully-engaged citizens in the Cincinnati region through small group classes and workshops. We have curated a collective of proven teachers, facilitators, and spiritual directors to help guide your learning in mindfulness, contemplation, art and action. We hope you'll try a class and like it enough to become a regular member. I just joined the Hive because of this class.”</em>  - Recent  Qigong participant</p><p>Qigong, the art of working with the body's energy, originated in China over 3000 years ago. In ancient times, the healing benefits of Qigong were kept secret by the ruling class. Common peasants were prohibited from practicing because of the extraordinary health benefits and spiritual development. Thankfully Qigong made its way into the world and we are able to benefit from this wonderful healing practice.</p><p>There are several types of Qigong: medical, martial and spiritual. In this class, we will practice medical and spiritual Qigong to heal the body and energize the spirit. Through gentle movement and stretching, we release stagnant and stuck Qi so it can circulate more freely in the body. Using breath, intention and attention, we will guide the Qi through our internal organs, meridians and tissues helping them to heal and release emotional blockages. After we release this stuck Qi, we will enter a flow state where this healing energy seems to effortlessly move our body. As your energy shifts, the physical body feels better, the mind becomes more clear and our emotions are more stable. We are better able to show up in life as our best selves.</p><p>This is a practice group, focusing on the alchemy of movement, mental imagery, and meditation techniques designed to help your body’s natural healing system remove energy blockages, return balance to your body, and keep the energy flowing smoothly. Teaching takes place as we practice. Qigong healing movements can be done standing or sitting. We have an axiom in Qigong: good, better, best. Starting where you are is good. With practice, you will get better. I'm still practicing for whatever 'best' means! All you need to do is relax and follow the instructions. The energy will do the rest. No special skills, knowledge, or ability is necessary. Drop-in and try a class; stay for the health of it!</p><p>Chris has gathered a unique set of skills and tools that have the potential to help you make sense of your consciousness journey: over 5 decades as a human, certified in the Enneagram, Qigong and Yoga.  After almost 30 years of working as a financial advisor and CFP®, he closed his financial planning firm and now helps people to heal their mind, body and spirit through teaching about the Enneagram, Qigong and Meditation. As we learn to accept and integrate all aspects of our self, we move closer to our True Self.</p><h3>Your Zoom link will be sent with your registration confirmation.
