In this series of gestural oil paintings, Holscher Almazan explores the physical and emotional shifts that naturally occur between a mother and her children—particularly as her sons grow older and become more independent.Through expressive use of color and a focus on hands and touch, she navigates the emotional landscape of attachment and detachment, of holding on and letting go.
