The 2025 “Work of Art” series by Salt Lake City Arts Council & Springboard for the Arts offers workshops at Finch Lane Gallery to help early-career artists build sustainable practices in career planning, presentation and connecting with customers.

<h3>The Salt Lake City Arts Council and Springboard for the Arts are proud to present the 2025 “Work of Art: Business Skills for Thriving Artists” workshop series.</h3> This hands-on series at Finch Lane Gallery helps early-career artists build sustainable practices with practical tools, guidance, and support. Over three evenings, workshops cover Career Planning, Professional Presentation, and Selling Your Work. Explore strategies for pricing, marketing, and selling your work in a way that feels authentic and sustainable. Workshops facilitated by Springboard for the Arts' Career Consultant, Alison Bergblom Johnson, a Minnesota-based artist whose work explores disability and joy. Alison collaborates with community care and arts organizations such as Fresh Eye Gallery, Strike Theater, the Loft Literary Center, Springboard for the Arts, and the Walker Art Center. Alison is an artist-organizer, a disabled artist, an essayist, a collage artist, and a theater artist. Springboard for the Arts’ Work of Art: Business Skills for Artists series has been taught at arts organizations, arts councils, libraries, and colleges across the United States. Questions?
