Residents and anyone who works or owns a business in Westerly, are invited to share ideas for growing tree cover to reduce heat &amp; flooding.

Join us for the Westerly Tree Canopy Open House on Wednesday, May 28th, from 5-6:30 PM at the <a href="https://g.co/kgs/LigSqe8" title="https://g.co/kgs/LigSqe8" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Westerly Library Terrace Room (3rd floor)</a>. The <a href="https://gicinc.org/" title="https://gicinc.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Green Infrastructure Center</a> is partnering with the Town of Westerly to host a public Open House to discuss opportunities and challenges to growing the Town's tree cover. Attendees will select their favorite strategies to optimize the potential for trees to reduce urban heat, manage flooding, and improve community health. Anyone who lives or works in Westerly is invited. Registration is encouraged. Can't join us but still want to weigh in? Meet at the library entrance on Broad St.
