Arlington Street Church  is located at the corner of Arlington and Boylston Streets in Back Bay, directly across from the Boston Public Garden. The front doors are at 20 Arlington St. Street parking is available. More here: https://www.ascboston.org/contact/directions.html

Is there assigned seating?

No, you are welcome to sit anywhere in the sanctuary! Although, we do recommend sitting on the ground floor, as it can get quite warm in the balcony.

How long will the performance be?

About two hours long. There will be a 15 minute intermission in between the two acts.

Question 4

Is there a livestream?

Accepted Answer

There is no livestream. While we will be professionally recording the performance, the beautiful acoustic of Arlington Street Church certainly is best enjoyed live!

Question 5

Will this be in English?

Accepted Answer

The performance will be in English, with British accents! There will be English subtitles on a large screen on the stage, so you can read along the entire time. There will also be a synopsis in the program to help guide you.

What is an operetta?

Accepted Answer

An operetta is somewhere between opera and musical theater. Arias are sung in an operatic style, without any amplification. There is dialogue between scenes, rather than sung recitative.
