Young Artist Workshop at Lancaster Museum of Art and History

Young Artist Workshop at Lancaster Museum of Art and History

Overview

Join us every first Thursday of the month for a fun craft event at MOAH! Bring your young artist from 3-7 PM. ✨

Young Artist Workshops are free art activities for children ages 3+ (must be accompanied by an adult). Participants can come to a YAW anytime between 3 and 7 pm. Workshops at MOAH are every first Thursday of the month. Art activities take about 10-30 minutes to make; seating and supplies are first-come, first-serve. Participants create artwork from start to finish, with all the supplies and guidance provided by MOAH staff. Each YAW is unique and introduces children to a variety of art techniques, materials, and processes.

A parent or legal guardian must accompany their child for the entire duration of the craft activity.

Upcoming workshops:

March 5: Pop-up Swans

Participants will create pop-up swans inspired by the installation piece Swan (2024) by Vojislav Radovanović featured in his exhibition Fables from the Valley in Between.

April 9: Pop-up Swans

Sharon Kagan is primarily a fiber artist, but she also captures her knits in a creative 2-D way to express different skin tones and vibrant colors. We will be experimenting with that process using coloring pages and crayons/markers.
