About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours 30 minutes

Shelter From The Storm is a Duluth-based band that celebrates the music of hometown legend Bob Dylan.

Duluth Dylan Fest is pleased to announce Shelter From The Storm will perform at its annual Bob Dylan Tribute concert beginning at 7 pm Saturday, May 24 - Bob Dylan's 84th Birthday. Singer-songwriter David Huckfelt will open with a solo acoustic set.

The band’s roots go back to 1993 when a group of local musicians put together a show to honor Bob Dylan’s birthday. This became an annual tradition where the group performed under the names The Bobcats and the Bob Dylan Revue, and regularly included Duluth’s finest musicians.

Different iterations of the group performed at the 2019 and 2021 Duluth Dylan Festivals. The current group consists of Jane Aas (Janie and the Spokes), Todd James (Bob Dylan Revue, The Jane Gang), Peter Aas (Janie and the Spokes), Mike Bernier (Big John Dickerson and Downright Tight, The Good, The Bad and The Funky), Garth Anderson (Landscapes, Janie and the Spokes, The Repairmen) and Jordan Ash (Janie and the Spokes).

E-tickets are available for $20 (plus $3.18 in fees) on Eventbrite.com. Paper tickets will be available at Globe News in Superior (cash only) and Zenith Bookstore (plus $1 handling fee) in West Duluth. Tickets will be available at the door for $25. Doors at 6 pm. Music at 7 pm.
