Located in the heart of the vibrant Wynwood Arts District, the LAB is Miami's original coworking community. In 2012, the founding members of the LAB teamed up with the Knight Foundation and a group of angel investors to convert a 10,000 square foot warehouse into a shared office space and event venue. Since then, a growing number of Miami's brightest and most forward-thinking entrepreneurial minds have converged here to share their ideas, learn from one another, and build amazing companies and projects.

Brainfood is a monthly discussion with local entrepreneurs who share the secrets of their success, lessons from their failures, and experiences as founders. These monthly gatherings will help Miami startups and entrepreneurs understand the opportunities and challenges of launching and growing a business. Every participant will leave with a wealth of new ideas and key, practical advice to advancing one’s own entrepreneurial career. Over the last nine years, Harris has scaled his boutique meal delivery service into a food manufacturing behemoth with 300-plus employees, producing over five million meals annually in Hollywood, Florida out of a 60,000 square foot USDA/FDA-certified commercial kitchen.Today, DeliverLean’s portfolio spans five nutrition-based brands; partnerships with Whole Foods, Aramark, Amtrak, Humana, Barnes &amp; Noble, Brightline, Cleveland Clinic and Baptist Health South Florida; and contracts with the largest events in the world including Super Bowl LIV, Miami International Boat Show and Art Basel. Since DeliverLean’s inception in 2011, Harris was focused on wellness and bridging the gap between eating well and meaningful health outcomes. Initially, he emphasized employee productivity and consumer health through better nutrition, but the goal was always to collaborate with insurance companies to elevate the company into a fully funded healthcare initiative. In 2020, Harris introduced DeliverLean CARE, the first of its kind plan to provide fresh, medically-tailored meals to the healthcare community in partnership with Humana and CarePlus Health Plans. The culmination of nearly a decade of hard work, DeliverLean now has a 360 approach to wellness by reaching consumers, wholesale partners and healthcare institutions and patients. This year, during the onset of COVID-19, Harris launched The DeliverLean Foundation, which is a philanthropic division designed to help the most vulnerable and underserved populations in times of need by providing meals to those who need it most. The foundation’s mission is to connect people with food to ensure no child or individual goes hungry. Through this charitable effort, Harris has already donated over 100,000 meals in coordination with DeliverLean’s strategic partners including NBA Hall of Famer Alonzo Mourning’s Overtown Youth Center, The Miami Marlins and Inter Miami CF Soccer Team. Also, in coordination with Miami Dade County, Harris spearheaded DeliverLean’s effort to provide hundreds of thousands of meals to homebound seniors during the crisis. The foundation has also provided thousands of meals to front line workers including doctors, nurses and first responders. Harris directs growth strategy and innovation at DeliverLean, disrupting the traditional grab-n-go market and breaking food manufacturing records by producing high quality products while maintaining transparency and authenticity of ingredients and providing convenient, healthy and affordable meals without sacrificing quality or taste.Harris’ vision and leadership has earned him the title of an Endeavor Global Entrepreneur in 2014 and as a finalist for Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2015, as well as profiles in Fast Company and the Wall Street Journal.
