I am not a vacation rental designer. Can I or should I attend?

If you have an interest in possibly adding vacation rentals to your design services menu, you should totally come.  You will meet people at all different stages of the business.

Question 2

Can you give me an idea of how the week will go?

While we are reserving the week of June 23rd for the Summit, the crux of the education and activities will happen Tuesday through Thursday.  Sponsor showrooms will be open all week. Plan to arrive on Monday for a welcome gathering.

What's included in the Summit Cost?

Question 4

Where should I stay?

You'll find that in June there are a lot more hotels and rentals available at normal prices and a lot less traffic overall. A good place to start with accommodations is Visit High Point > Plan Your Visit >Places to Stay. Focus on "Preferred Partners." (visithighpoint.com)

Question 5

Is there organized transportation like at Market?

Not this time, there are no airport or hotel shuttles. The rental car situation will be easier to navigate , as will parking in the design district. That said, our Summit overlaps with Miss North Carolina festivities at the HP theater, so the city will be populated but there is space for all!

Question 6

Will any showrooms be open in June?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there are showrooms open year-round in High Point. Many of them are members of High Point by Design (HPxD) but many showrooms have reps in NC that can open up if you give them some advance warning. We’ll give you time to showroom hop during the Summit, but we also encourage you to arrive a bit

Is the Summit fully accessible to someone in a wheelchair?

While we do not have details ironed our yet, the education and activities will be held in accessible buildings. If you have concerns, let us know the accommodations you require, and we will do our best to make it happen.

I'm a home furnishings brand and I want to attend. Am I allowed to register?

Accepted Answer

We are currently registering only brands who are Summit '25 partners. If you are interested in partnership, we should talk. Reach out to jane@hpxd.org to start that conversation.
