Hollywood in Your Backyard Mixer at the Pizza Factory

The Film Commission helps educate the local community about the economic importance of the film industry and works as a local liaison to keep Monterey County “film-friendly.”In addition, the Monterey County Film Commission has conducted several programs and events locally including “Hollywood in Your Backyard,” “Focus on Film” and “REEL Jobs” lectures, hosts an annual film student scholarship award, movie screenings and more.  These events help to heighten awareness of the film industry in Monterey County, educate local residents about various aspects of filmmaking, and raise funds for the nonprofit Film Commission.
