This event is a collaboration with the Prison+Neighborhood Arts/Education Project and the Beyond Prisons Initiative!

Join the National Museum of Mexican Art (NMMA) in collaboration with the Prison + Neighborhood Arts/Education Project (PNAP) and the Beyond Prisons Initiative at the Center for the Study of Race, Politics &amp; Culture for a discussion on incarceration. What does it look like to create a “safe space” behind prison walls that acknowledges the humanity of people facing life sentences and enables vulnerability and healing through academic and artistic endeavors? How can the arts bring grace and understanding to one another?
