On June 7th, come and admire an impressive lineup of classic cars that will transport you back in time. Not only will there be jaw-dropping cars, but also delicious food and beverage vendors, live DJ music, and the chance to witness car enthusiasts compete for top awards.The car show opens to the public on June 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the <a href="https://downtownarlington.org/go/vandergriff-town-center" title="https://downtownarlington.org/go/vandergriff-town-center" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Vandergriff Town Center</a> at 200 N. Mesquite Street, however, car owner participants are required to arrive from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. In accordance with local law enforcement and safety requirements of the event permit, NO ENTRIES will be allowed entry past 8:45 a.m., regardless of prior registration.The event is free to attend and open to the public. If you're a fan of classic cars, or just looking for a fun day out with the family, be sure to mark June 7 on your calendar and head down to the Downtown Arlington Classic Car Show!Deadline to register is Thursday, June 5th at noon.<h4> </h4>**If you wish to enter more than one car into the show, please register separately** Judging and AwardsWe invite all car enthusiasts to enter their car. For the best show possible, please be aware that the show committee will provide favored parking to those vehicles that have the most interest from an enthusiast’s perspective. Most newer stock vehicles do not fit in this category as we are looking for models 1979 or older that have not been modified, using only new parts to keep the car running. Basic cosmetic changes (i.e. wheels, stereo, engine dress-up kits, etc.) can be considered.All registered classic cars will be judged within their decade: '20s &amp; '30s, '40s, '50s, '60s, and '70s. Ten judges will select a 1st and 2nd place from each decade, forming our "Top 10 Cars." From this Top 10, the judging panel will determine the overall Best of Show, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Additional awards include Mayor's Choice, People's Choice, Best Story, and Best Club Participation. The "Best Hometown Car" winner will be selected by Arlington Today staff.The awards program begins at 2:00 PM. Trophies will be awarded for Best of Show, Mayor's Choice, and People's Choice. The Top 10 cars will each receive a commemorative license plate, and other winners will receive gift certificates. The award for Best Story and Best Hometown Car will be a future feature about the 2025 Car Show in Arlington Today Magazine. The Best of Show will also win two free Texas Rangers home game tickets and a one-night stay at the Loews Arlington Hotel with complimentary valet parking and breakfast for two at Farena's (dates subject to availability).
