Kick off AAPI Heritage Month 2025 with a 5K Fun Run through San Francisco!Join us for a FREE, family-friendly 5K fun walk/run honoring the rich history and contributions of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities in San Francisco.This scenic route winds through the heart of the city, passing by over 16+ historic AAPI landmarks—featuring goodies, resources, and fun facts about its cultural significance. We'll start the 5K with a meaningful opening ceremony, setting the tone for a day of connection, celebration, and fun.Expect cheer stations, photo ops, sweet treats, and entertainment along the route to keep the energy high!And that’s not all—May 10th is also AAPI Mental Health Day! This year’s Finisher Festival flows directly into the Our Wellness Festival, where we’ll celebrate mental health, community, and joy. After the 5K, stick around for our special community carnival in partnership with <a href="https://ramsinc.org/" title="https://ramsinc.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">RAMS</a>.The festival will feature family-friendly activities, carnival-style games, music, dancing, wellness resources, and more! <h3>**IMPORTANT INFORMATION, PLEASE READ**</h3><ul><li>Everyone MUST register individually to be eligible for one of 500 free commemorative T-shirts and race bibs, available first-come, first-served at pick-up day on Friday, May 9.</li><li>Want to guarantee your T-shirt and race bib? You can reserve them in advance by purchasing a T-shirt reservation ticket. Reserved items can be picked up on May 9 or on race morning, Saturday, May 10, between 7 AM – 9 AM.</li><li>Participants must wear their T-shirts and race bibs on race day to receive free candy, route goodies, and giveaways at the Finisher Festival..</li><li>Don’t worry—you can still join the 5K without a T-shirt or bib! While you won’t receive all the goodies, you’ll still be part of an unforgettable celebration.</li><li>As a reminder, Asians Are Strong is a 100% volunteer-run, 501 c3 nonprofit, and we do our best to keep our community events fun, free, and open to all. That said, we do have to limit free items at a certain point. That’s why it’s first-come, first-served—unless you choose to reserve your spot through a paid ticket, which directly supports our free programs for elders and helps keep our events accessible to the community.</li></ul>
