<h2>Project Description</h2><h3>Learn the basics of French hand sewing  by machine.  I will show and discuss appropriate fabrics, laces, and special equipment needs. Make your own notebook samples of 15 basic  techniques.  This class will cover lace to lace, lace to entredeux, entredeux to flat and gathered fabric, pintucks, puffing, piping, lace shaping and more. </h3>

<h2>Class Experience</h2><h3>This six hour class will be divided into two, three hour sessions spaced one week apart. A good portion of each three hour session will be teaching/demo from my end. It will be an interactive format allowing students to type in questions/comments at any time. I will be rotating between three webcams which will allow face to face, super close up, and a clear view of my sewing machine live stitching. Any time remaining after teaching is complete will be devoted to stitching time for students to work on the technique sample of their choice. I would estimate approximately 1-2 hours of machine stitching time in between class sessions to complete the samples. Your hard cover notebook with all pre-cut fabrics and laces will arrive to your home at least one week prior to the first session of the class.</h3>

</li><li>Pintuck foot (seven groove preferred)
</li><li>Pintuck clip (Pfaff machines only)
</li><li>#60 sewing machine needle
</li><li>#2.0/80 or #2.5/80 twin needle
</li><li>#2.5 80/100 twin wing needle (optional/only used for one technique)
</li><li>DMC #50 white thread
</li><li>2 sewing machine bobbins
</li><li>Small lace shaping/blocking surface
</li><li>Spray starch
</li><li>Ruler with 1/8” markings
</li><li>Basic sewing supplies</li></ul>
