<h2>Project Description</h2><h3>The fully lined, embroidered baby jacket with coordinating blouse and suspender bloomers is offered in a choice of several Liberty of London tana lawn prints.  The ultra-fine flannel jacket is interlined with ‘Baby’ interfacing and lined with 1/32” 100% pima cotton micro check.  The bullion and cast-on stitch hand embroidery on the jacket is worked with three strands of DMC cotton floss. All perimeter edges of the jacket are piped with micro check mini piping and bound with the Liberty print ¼” French bias binding.  The suspender bloomers  feature a back placket, piped suspender and lower cuff edges, and a buttoned inside leg closure.  The coordinating puff sleeve button front blouse features a block method, piped, embroidered Peter Pan collar, and French bias bound sleeve edges.  The pattern sheets in sizes 3, 6, 12, and 18 months will be included in each class kit.  The class kit will make up to the largest size.  </h3>

<h2>Class Experience</h2><h3>This nine hour class will be divided in three, three hour sessions each spaced 1-2 weeks apart to allow students time to do the required ‘homework’ between sessions.  Approximately one half of each session will be teaching/demo on my end. Students will be stitching along during the remainder of the class time.  It will be an interactive format allowing students to type in questions/comments at any time.  I will be rotating between three webcams which will allow face to face, super close up, and a clear view of my sewing machine live stitching.  The first three hour session will cover the preparation and marking of the embroidery design on the jacket along with a demo of the bullion and cast-on stitches.  The second session will cover the construction of the suspender bloomers.  The third session will cover the construction of the blouse and the jacket.  This format will allow students three weeks between sessions #1 and #3 to complete the embroidery around the bottom of the jacket.  Your project kit will arrive to your home at least one week prior to the first class session. </h3>

<h2>Prerequisites</h2><h3>This is a mid intermediate level class.  Some previous construction and hand embroidery experience is recommended.</h3>

<h2>Pre-class Preparation</h2><ul><li>If you prefer, the fabrics can be prewashed, but is not required (do not pre-wash the ‘Baby’ interfacing).</li><li>Paper cut the pattern in chosen size</li><li>Tape together any required pattern pieces</li><li>Fuse the ‘Baby’ interfacing to the wrong side of the ultra fine flannel</li><li>Cut out all required pieces for the jacket, blouse, and suspender bloomers</li><li>Follow the cutting guide to cut all the bias required for the three piece set</li></ul>
