Artascope is a 501(c)(3) organization that raises money for experiential education programs by offering art classes and studio memberships in Yarmouth, Maine. We provide a relaxed, supportive environment to the broader community where individuals can share their work, ideas, and discoveries with one another. Located at 138 Bayview Street, Yarmouth, ME.

Starts Tuesday, January 19th (Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. for 6 weeks.)Do you have a desire to explore yourself through acrylic painting? Do you want to learn playful and visually appealing techniques that will help you communicate your artistic vision? This class will instruct you in the basics of expressionist painting techniques such as glazing, washes, scumbling, and adding texture. You will learn about the great expressionist painters such as Van Gogh and Paul Klee. And, you will discover a wealth of new tools to improve your paintings through use of of value, color, and composition. Great for beginners who wish to learn the essentials of painting or for intermediate painters looking to break out of realism. A curriculum can be emailed upon request.Non-members: $195 for 6 weeks. Members: $156.  Fee does not include materials. A list of recommended supplies can be emailed upon request.
