Stray Cat Film Center is an artist-run, non-profit  micro-cinema. Organized by volunteer programmers, We screen  everything from to documentaries to video art to cult films and is open to the entire range of moving image expressions – independent, activist, underground and bizarre. We are a space that supports all of KC’s  cinematic communities and celebrates diversity of expression, fun &  radical art.

For 1955, we've got it all: Rocket ships, grouchy scientists, and invisible, bodiless space vampire squid.Before Quatermass and the Pit, before Horror of Dracula or Curse of Frankenstein, the soon-to-be-legendary Hammer Films dipped their toes in the icy waters of horror with some early sci-fi thrillers, including this absolute banger from the pen of podcast favorite Nigel Kneale. Join Orrin and Tyler for a FREE screening of this sci-fi classic, then stick around afterward as we discuss body horror, gross monsters, how much Nigel Kneale disliked this movie, and much more!THE HORROR POD CLASS is a monthly free screening hosted by Orrin Grey and Tyler Unsell where they seek out horror films that could be useful in a school setting. Screenings start at 7pm with a live podcast recording taking place after.
